KCR Gathered Online for the Annual Development Meeting 2020
Boston, MA, 22 Sept 2020 — KCR, the international clinical development solutions provider, gathered its management team for a three-day Annual Development Meeting (ADM) — 14–16 September — the yearly company gathering to celebrate milestones, discuss strategy and to connect as a community of leaders. This year, due to pandemic restrictions, the meeting was fully digital, with participants connecting online from over the world.
The multi-day event featured presentations from functional area leaders, guest appearances from industry experts and an awards ceremony and special announcements from KCR CEO, Mike Jagielski.
In his introductory update, Jagielski detailed KCR’s experiences throughout the COVID-19 pandemic including the shift from on-site monitoring to remote monitoring during the height of the pandemic. These changes sparked new logistic, technological and client management roles for all departmental teams but did not compromise business development or job security for any of KCR’s employees.
On day two, KCR leaders heard from clinical research experts: Steven Stein, MD, Chief Medical Officer at the global biopharmaceutical company, Incyte, and Manfred Stapff, MD, PhD, President of LG Chem Life Sciences Innovation Center. The ADM participants benefited from their unique insights on industry developments and opportunities.
The last day of the meeting called for leadership presentations and strategic planning on technology systems, employee development, customer messaging and others. There were also several sessions of department updates and plans, presented creatively by leaders across functional areas.
The virtual conference concluded with an award ceremony for Anna Baran, MD, Chief Medical Officer at KCR. Dr. Baran was prized with the “KCR Development Award” for her tireless efforts to serve KCR patients and clients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and for her daily commitment to delivering the most advanced results to patients and sponsors alike.
